If he gets dissipated or distracted, he will lose respect.
If he hits the mark, he will be acknowledged.

No presumptions are made.
One holds to what is simple and sincere.


This is the Aquarian New Moon and it marks a time of great contrast. On the one hand there will be significant shocks and instability. Financial uncertainty and sudden losses are likely. Emotional anxieties will prevail over what is worthwhile and what is not. On the other hand there will be strong actions and powerful initiatives by the forces of authority. Great ideas, powerful actions and sudden upsets all prevail.
The tide is changing. Understandings and misunderstanding will be put into action. It will be easy to justify rebellion, at the same time it will be easy to justify the use of force to quell rebellions. The web is being used to martial support and forces that could destabilize countries. The days of web innocence and freedom will soon fade away.
The old saying, “Those who speak don’t know, and those who know don’t speak!” comes to mind. Who is there in today’s world that is respected for maintaining silence? The power of knowledge and ideas is ascending. Unfortunately not all ideas and beliefs are helpful or healing.
The challenge remains to find clear thinking and truthful solutions. If you see what is truly needed then will you act on your convictions? How do we know if the information we get is valid.
There is still light and darkness in the world. It just seems darker to us now because we have moved further away from natural standards. Actions are inclined to follow thoughts, but how many thoughts are worth acting on?
One of the capacities of Saturn which traditionally rules Aquarius is the ability to listen and know what is true. We are being conditioned to think that we know what is going on in the world, but at the same time we are getting very obscured and distorted details. How to we sift through the clutter to find what is valid. Where is the discrimination to avoid acting on gossip and hearsay? Do we simply let the news writers determine what is going on?
This Aquarius New Moon offers a significant opportunity to sit still and listen. To wait and ponder. To reflect on the inner implications around us. Chanting or meditating on a New Moon empowers inner depth and can direct the mind’s focus inward. If in so doing we are able to bring a little more light and consideration into our personal world, we would be adding light to life. The more people that can hold to and maintain their inner truth, the more valid solutions will arise.
Chanting provides a useful tool for directing the mind and even for silencing it or calming it down. In today’s electrically supercharged world of partial or misinformation many people are being blindly manipulated. If one can be silent even for a little period during the New Moon, deeper insights and understandings will find reinforcement, and wisdom might be added to knowledge.
The Hexagram for this New Moon is Innocence, The Unexpected. It refers to initiative that leads to greater action and force, like the first son running into or competing with the father. This can go good or bad. The danger is that there is little restraint or calm here.
We can use this New Moon phase to gain some restraint and calm. If enough people do this, much violence would cease. This is a good time for a media fast, and to rely on one’s own inner ideas.
