The exact New Moon eclipse occurs on Wednesday, Jun 1, at 5:03 PM (EDT), (Jun 2, at 2:33 AM in Gujarat) in the I Ching hexagram “The Power of the Great”. This is a time to express what is true, and to express it confidently. What is true to you?
No one will know if you don’t express it. Truth will be affirmed. Untruth will be corrected. In this way we can move forward and learn at the same time. Even if your truth is saying that the world is going to end. Speak it and reap the results! If you are wrong, you will be corrected.
This is the beginning of learning.
Can you speak what is true and listen at the same time. If someone speaks untruthfully, leave them well enough alone. Don’t lose precious time following negativity or doubt. There is no need to contend. Just follow your own truth.
Some truths are greater than other truths. Are you listening?
This is a Gemini New Moon and it is also an eclipse. If we will ever be able to speak our peace, it is now. On this new moon the mind is empowered. One is impelled to impress others. Unfortunately because it is a south node solar-eclipse the mind and thoughts can too easily wander into darkness and doubt.
An eclipse is the darkest and most sensitive of lunations. While the world is darkened on the outside, it also receives a tremendous affirmation on the inside, for those sensitive enough to hear the silence. While the darkness prevails we are supposed to carry the light brightly within until it returns on the outside again. This eclipse is a powerful seed moment. What you feel or think at the moment of the eclipse will gain power and momentum. Hence the importance of clarity in the darkness. The thoughts that come into our mind when we are alone, that is our karma. How can we change them. Is it even possible? ……. YES! It is!
In the outer world there will be a marked tendency to distort or misinterpret the truth on this new moon. If your truth is in words, then it will be a fragile or questionable truth.
Thoughts, like words are a disturbance of silence. They are a disturbance of the peace!
They should be arrested!
If we can quiet the mind on this new moon we will remain open to the wonders and grace of silence.
Chanting is one of the most remarkable tools for silencing the mind. When chanting intensely, it becomes quite difficult to think or reason. Can you imaging being happy for no reason?
This is the challenge of this eclipse. Happiness without thought or reason would be a great reward.
Whether your technique for maintaining silence is chanting, singing bhajans or hymns, or praying, this new moon eclipse is an excellent time to persevere. Inner work will strengthen confidence and find increasing affirmations in the silence. Oh, if only we could spread the good cheer in silence.
If you don’t have something good to say, don’t say it! A good chant or prayer can be repeated silently even in social situations. Are you capable of this?
It is something that I strive ardently to achieve every day. I am also very grateful to know that there are many others around the world striving to maintain their inner light and exhibiting peaceful radiance within their sensitivity spheres. In this way inner peace and guidance are maintained around the world.
