This is a time when there are worries about security but nothing is stable. One’s worries tend to eclipse one’s compassion. There are always people who are worse off than yourself. Indulging in personal worries brings selfishness to the fore. Being over considerate about one’s problems, makes one under considerate about the problems of others. Who worries about their neighbors ability to pay the rent or have enough food?
The internet and media in general tend to keep us in a pocket of self indulgence and self interest. Who can really look out of the pocket? If you have problems to worry about, so must many others.
We are at the end of innocence on the world wide web. The internet is being used to destabilize countries and governments. It is also being used as a type of vigilante justice whereby punishments or harassments are being perpetrated before and legal judgment is made. Governments are using it to influence people and stay in power.
From here on we can expect more censorship and higher costs for access and security options.
There will be a cost to pay for what appears to be internet freedom.
On a spiritual level, one will soon have to do a month long media fast before one is ready to even approach silencing the mind and listening to the heart. Outwardly Preponderance of the Great implies watching the ridgepole of the roof or structure as it sags to the breaking point. Inwardly, Preponderance of the Great implies considering what must fall away so that the great inner light can shine brightly. There are two different directions for understanding this hexagram, and maybe more. Where are you focusing. Upon what are you concentrating?
This is a Cancer New Moon and it is also an eclipse. Sensitivities are heightened. Much depends on the direction and quality of your concerns.
Once before this message of Cherokee wisdom was included in this newsletter. It seem appropriate to include it again.
CHEROKEE WISDOM
An old Cherokee is teaching his grandson about life. "A fight is going on inside me," he said to the boy, "It is a terrible fight and it is between two wolves...
One is evil -- he is anger, envy, sorrow, regret, greed, arrogance, self-pity, guilt, resentment, inferiority, lies, false pride, superiority and ego.
The other is good -- he is joy, peace, love, hope, serenity, humility, kindness, benevolence, empathy, generosity, truth, compassion and faith.""
And then he said: "This same fight is going on inside you --and inside every other person, too."
The grandson thought about it for a minute and then asked his grandfather, "Which wolf will win?"
The old Cherokee simply replied, "The one you feed!"
In the horoscope for this Cancer New Moon eclipse, there is a marked tendency to worry about things that are beyond your control. If this pulls you into negativity and darkness, then you need to take a step back and let go of your concerns. Perhaps your concerns and your thinking are being embraced more than God? Perhaps your worries show a lack of faith? No doubt the universe is unfolding as it should. A lot of people have difficult karma coming back at them. This is a fact. Whose plan do you think, brought this about, or is bringing this about?
The point I am trying to make is that there is still value in realizing that higher hands might have a role in all of this. Perhaps God knows what He or She is doing! How much faith do you have?
Chanting or praying, at any time is a good means for staying centred in inner light and love. On an eclipse there is a tendency to increase the darkness, but if one can increase one’s inner light during such a time, one would certainly gain extra impetus and inner presence.
May you carry the light within while the darkness is manifesting without.
