New Moon eclipse occurs on Friday, Nov. 25, at 1:10 AM (EDT), (Nov. 25,
at 11:40 AM in Gujarat) in the I Ching
hexagram “Enthusiasm”. Included below are the relevant interpretation segments of

This is the time when the amount of darkness in a day
increases to its maximum and daylight reaches its minimum. It gets dark out
early and there is much less light around to enable outer activities. It is now
getting colder and the final push into winter is here.
As daylight decreases so does individual freedom.
This time of darkness represents a time where the demands of the group or the
team will prevail over the wishes of the individual. Individual efforts must
now be directed to helping the community or team. It is getting colder. Time
demands are increasing and there is much personal inertia to overcome.
The magic in this time occurs when inertia is
overcome. It can be seen when people put their energies together and make
things better. When this energy can be directed with enthusiasm, it inspires
everyone and makes life much easier and more fun.
Are you doing anything that inspires or encourages
others? Are you supportive of others?
Being alone now is difficult. The company of a friend
can make all the difference.
The question becomes, not what can I do for me, but
what can I do for others.
This is the Sagittarian new moon. There will be many
different outlooks and opinions surfacing. Strive to include them all. This is
not the time to pontificate or preach to others, rather it is a time to include
them and make sacrifices to help them.
The horoscope of this New Moon shows much stress and
impatience. There will be an insensitive or angry reaction to any disruptions
that arise. In the world there is a competitive insensitive temperament where
one will be quick to anger. It will take some effort to overlook and forgive
the mistakes of others. However, little or no good will come from undue
criticism or contention. Try to keep inspiration in the forefront and accentuate
the positive. Avoid grumbling negativity and harsh reactions. Don’t try to do
too much, and leave some time for helping others. If something increases
impatience or anger, then it is probably worth leaving alone.
A second factor on this new moon eclipse is one of
great expectations and good intentions. Unfortunately great expectations mixed
with anger will rarely have any good come out of it. There is a tendency to
fanatically react to circumstances that one disagrees with. This does not bode
well for peace. On this new moon it will be especially important to bless and
forgive. Let go of the judgment and anger. Try to help rather than harm.
Simple acts of kindness can have a very profound and
significant effect. Take the angry or restless energy and direct it to helping
others with no extra conditions or expectations attached. Why make things more difficult when you can
make them easier?
Chanting and praying are tools that help us to
overcome the attachments of the mind and the subsequent judgments or expectations.
This is a forerunner to peace and good will.
Chanting and praying on a new moon is always an
extra-sensitive experience. This new moon encourages chanting or praying with
others. Go to the church or the temple. Share some of the good energies and
inner prayers with others. It will create a much improved sense of communal
well being. It will fuel the fires of enthusiasm.
The world will become a better place! Peace will
increase on earth!
