The world and its web are filled with misinformation and partial truths. When the need for truth arises, such partial truths are as good as lies and they become obstacles that need to be removed. Removing partial information would be the equivalent of censorship in the opinions of many. What is true? There is the tip of the wave, the centre of gravity of the wave and the base of the wave. Where are you?

Does your position distort your perspective and colour the truth? Are you part of the obstacle? Are you ready for a truthful breakthrough? The reason there is so much darkness and fear in the world today is that so many people are living atheistic lives.

There is a battle in this moment, and it lies between the mind and the heart. Only the blessed ones are capable of sincere heartfelt thinking. Most people think from the mind and not the heart. Is there such a thing as thinking from the heart? This is a good to find out about, and to discover what side of the battle you are on. Are you driven from your mind and information or are you driven from your heart?

There is a big difference here! How many people will take time to reflect in silence? How many can even take a 24 hour media fast… without radio, television, telephone and without the world wide web and the internet?

This is an Aquarian New Moon. It is in a fixed air sign implying fixed ideas and opinions and a resistance to changing one’s perspective. Like most new moons this brings a significant sensitivity to the surface. Will you listen? or will you talk? The battle is really with the mind. Actions will follow thoughts. How worthy are your thoughts. Talk is cheap and inner sincerity and deep insight are rare. In Tao The Ching it is said, “To think that one knows is sickness. Only when one becomes sick of this sickness can one become free of it.”

Can you silence the mind and find true feeling in your heart? This is the challenge of this Aquarian New Moon. Many people will think that they know the solutions to problems in the world. How many of those people are in touch with their hearts and yours? Who is worth following?

If you can’t trust your inner voice, what can you trust? Chanting on a new moon gives one extra vitality and power. It enables one to reach greater depths of sensitivity than one would normally be able to. If one can take time for some chanting or deep inner reflection on this Aquarian new moon one could truly enhance and strengthen one’s spiritual perspective, and gain a better perspective on outer phenomena.

There is a social element to this new moon s well, but again the challenge remains…. who is really listening? Without some personal effort and self restraint most social gatherings will simply be for the release of gossip and anything that comes to mind. The challenge is to be selective about what one listens to and about what one says.
